🔍 PM24 Times Polling Methodology & Transparency

Sample Selection

Our polls use probability-based sampling with random digit dialing (RDD) and calibrated online panels. Samples are stratified by region, age, gender, education, and past voting behavior to ensure demographic representativeness.

Data Collection

We employ mixed-mode methodology combining telephone interviews (landline and mobile) with online surveys. All interviewers receive standardized training, and quality control monitors 15% of all calls.

Weighting & Adjustments

Post-stratification weighting adjusts for known population parameters using Census data. We apply additional corrections for differential response rates across demographic groups and likely voter screening.

Margin of Error

Reported margins reflect sampling error at the 95% confidence level. Actual total error may be higher due to non-response bias, question wording effects, and other sources of survey error.

Question Design

Questions undergo cognitive testing and are designed to minimize bias. We rotate response options, use balanced scales, and conduct split-sample experiments to assess question effects.

Transparency Commitment

Full questionnaires, topline results, crosstabs, and detailed methodology reports are published within 48 hours of poll release. We adhere to AAPOR transparency standards.
